What does this error message mean? That means the printer spooler services has stooped due to any printer driver malfunction or in the case you share a printer over LAN on Local Network. In most cases this problem arises, if you have a Local Network Printer, when you access the shared printer from the computer connected through LAN and open printers and faxes the message will appear and at that time you could not able to print any documents.


HOW TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

 If you have the problem on Local Printer (Local printer means where you directly attach the Printer to the Computer)

 1) Uninstall the Printer Driver ( Device Manager --> Right Click on the Printer Driver ---> Click Uninstall) To access Device Manage on your PC (Start-->Run--> devmgmt.msc)

 2) Restart the Computer

 3) Connect the printer to the PC it will automatically install the driver for the printer

 OR

 1) Go to Printers and Faxes and Delete the printer you have 

 2) Reboot the PC

 3) Connect the printer to Computer

If the problem arises on a Shared Printer
1) Go to any computer on your Local Network on which you have installed a shared printer.

 2) Then go to Printers and faxes

 3) Delete the shared printer you have

 In between if your printer spooler stooped working, then go to SERVICES.MSC and start Printer Spooler and delete the printer.

 4) Reboot the Computer

 5) Now install the printer on the computer by accessing the main computer where the local printer attached.

How to change login screen in Windows 7 - Logon Screen Windows 7 Create/Set a Custom Background

This Tutorial will show you, how to customize the Windows 7 Logon screen background image without using any third party software. So to do this you need to make some changes in the Windows Registry and Group Policy, don't worry about that I will show you the step by step process to  change the background image of your Windows 7 Log-in screen.



Things to Remember

  • Windows Logo Key+R to Open 'Run' box, in the Run box
  • Type regedit and press Enter Key to Open Registry Editor 
  • Type gpedit.msc and press Enter Key to open Local Group Policy Editor


How to change the Log-In screen image on Windows 7

  • Go to registry editor (Windows Key+R and type regedit press Enter)

  • Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\Background

  • Double Click on OEMBackground and Change the Value data 0 to 1

If the key 'OEMBackground' not exist, right-click on the right pannel New-->DWORD Value with the name OEMBackground.
  • Go to C:\Windows\System32\oobe (if you have Windows in C: Drive or change the drive letter to your Windows installed drive).
  • Create a Folder with the Name info and create a backgrounds folder inside the info folder.

Rename your wallpaper/image to backgroundDefault.jpg (the image file should be in .jpg format and less than 256 KB) and place it inside the backgrounds folder.
  • Now you have successfully set your custom background image for Windows 7 Log-on Screen, to check this Log-off, restart your PC or press Windows Key+L form the Keyboard and enjoy

Note: When you set a new theme for your Windows 7, the registry value may change to the default value. But you can prevent this by doing some setting in your 'Group Policy', lets have a look below process to change the Group Policy for the PC.

As we know that, Camstudio is a screen recording software for windows. With this software you can record your computer screen and audio form the microphone and save it in AVI format. It is 100% free for personal and commercial use. But after installing while you run the software some time you will get an error message like this:

4) In the Network name, type any name on it ( here it's mypc1) and in the Security key enter abc12345 (for example) and Click Next. You can choose your Network name and Security key.

This wireless network may not be access through some wifi enabled mobile phones.

Components of Windows :-

1) TITLE BAR ---->

Title bar display at the top of the windows. It also display the current application and file name that you use.

2) MENU BAR ---->

It display at the below of the title bar. These are the collection of options or commands.

3) TOOL BAR --->

The bar in which you find the tools. The tools are the pictorial form of the option of command.

Tool Tips --> When you move the mouse pointer to tool, it gives a message regarding the use of that tool is called tool tips.

4) STATUS BAR ---->

It display the size of a selected file or folder. This bar appear bellow of the window.


*DESKTOP---> The windows back ground screen or on which all the windows and icons appear is called Desktop.

*WINDOW---> The Rectangular portion on which you find; Tools,  Title, Menu bar etc, is called window.

*ICON---> The pictorial form of application or files or folders, which are placed on the Desktop or inside any Drive is called an Icon.

5) TASKBAR ---->

Task-bar normally appear at the bottom of the desktop. The most important button of the taskbar is Start. You use the start button to run a program each time. When you open a window the taskbar placed the window name on it.

HP Pavilion dv9000 Not Wake Up From Sleep

         What this problem is ? Normally when your Laptop goes to sleep it will wake up if you press any key or power button but in this case you unable to do this. I have seen this problem on a HP pavilion dv9000 laptop, if you press the power button also nothing will happen and finally you have to remove the battery and put it again, then only the laptop will start. The problem is due to some fault in the mother board of the laptop. So to solve this problem you have take it to HP service center or you can disable the standby or sleep option. How to disable the sleep option on the laptop running Windows 7 is as below.

To change the power settings for sleep :
  • Right click on battery icon (task bar) then click on power options the power option window will open
  • Click on "Change when the computer sleeps" then on the 'put the computer to sleep' option set it to Never both for On Battery and Plugged In.
  • Now click on Save changes

  • Again click on the "Change when the computer sleeps" then  click on change advanced power setting, click on the Hard disk (+ mark),
  • Click on Turn off hard disk after, you will find two option On battery and Plugged in or Power
  • Click on "On battery" and set it to '0', the number '0' means never, then do it for the plugged in option
  • Click apply and OK
  • Click back button or click cancel to come to the power option
  • Click on "Choose what closing the lid does"  and set 'When I press the sleep button' to 'Do nothing' both for battery and power
  • And 'When I close the lid' set it to 'Do nothing' both for battery and power
  • Click on Save changes and close the window
 Now your laptop never goes to sleep, it will only turn off the screen.
