UIDAI Offers Online Services : You Should Know

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) launches various online services for Aadhaar card users, and here we will give some basic information about how to use these online services from UIDAI Govt. of India and it's really very helpful to the Aadhaar users.

Note: Registered mobile number is mandatory to avail Aadhaar online services.

Search Banks/Post Offices Aadhaar Enrolment Center:

The UIDAI's appointments portal helps users to information on Aadhaar enrolment and update centres. This portal helps you to find nearest Aadhaar enrolment or update centres i.e. various bank and post office Aadhaar centres by selecting the State, District, Sub District and Pin Code.

How to Search Aadhaar Enrolment and Update Centres?
  • Visit UIDAI appointments portal.
  • Search Criteria State/Pin Code/Search box (Select Pin Code it's simple)
  • Enter the Pin Code of your area and verification code.
  • Click on Search it will show Aadhaar enrolment and update centres near you.
Check Aadhaar application status:


How to check Aadhaar application status?
  • Visit UIDAI Check Aadhaar Status.
  • Enter Enrolment ID (EID 1234/12345/12345)
  • Then Enter Date and Time (dd/mm/yyy hh:mm:ss)
  • Enter Security Code and Click on Check Status.
Know Your Lost EID/UID:

If you lost your Aadhaar Number or Enrolment Number, you can also retrieve the Aadhaar Number (UID) or Enrolment Number (EID). Visit the UIDAI website link given below and enter the full name, Email or Mobile Number as registered in your Aadhaar and then enter the security code, then click on Send OTP and then verify the OTP your received on your phone.

How to Retrieve your Lost Aadhaar or Enrolment Number?
  • Visit UIDAI Retrieve EID/UID.
  • Select Aadhaar Number (UID) or Enrolment Number (EID) your want to retrieve.
  • Enter the Full Name as register in your Aadhaar.
  • Enter your Registered Email or Mobile Number.
  • Enter Security Code and Click on Send OTP.
  • Then Enter the OTP you received and Verify OTP.
Download E-Aadhaar Card:

According to the UIDAI website an individual can download the Aadhaar card either by using the Aadhaar Number or Enrolment ID with Date and Time Stamp.

How to Download E-Aadhaar Card Online?
  • Visit UIDAI Download Aadhaar Portal.
  • Select Aadhaar or Enrolment ID (Which one you have).
  • Enter12 Digit Aadhaar Number (For Aadhaar base download) or
  • Enter Enrolment ID 14 Digit Number and Date and Time Stamp (For EID base download)
  • Then enter the full name as registered in your Aadhaar.
  • Then enter the Pin Code and then enter the security code and click on Request OTP.
  • Now enter your 6 digit OTP and click on Download Aadhaar.
Get Aadhaar on Mobile:


Users can get their Aadhaar number on their mobile number through the UIDAI Aadhaar on Mobile portal. To know how to get Aadhaar on mobile number please follow the below steps.

How to Get Aadhaar on Mobile Number?
  • Visit UIDAI Portal Link.
  • Enter the Enrolment ID and Date/Time.
  • Enter your registered Mobile Number and Click on Verify.
  • Enter Security Code and Click on Send OTP.
  • Now enter OTP your received and Click on Submit.
Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal:

How to Update/Correction Address pm Aadhaar Card?
  • Visit UIDAI Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal.
  • Read the instruction given on the UIDAI website and then click on Proceed.
  • Enter your Aadhaar Number/VID.
  • Then Enter the Text Verification Code and click on Send OTP.
  • Now enter your OTP you received on the phone, then request for data update.
  • Upload required documents.

Aadhaar Update Request Status:

If you have request for address update of Aadhaar online, then you can check the update status online by using the UIDAI portal. Verify Aadhaar Number:

By using the UIDAI portal user can verify his or her Aadhaar number by entering the Aadhaar Number and text verification security code. In this process user can know that the Aadhaar number is valid or active and with the verification process the UIDAI portal shows the Aadhaar details. How to Verify Your Aadhaar Number is Valid or Not?
Verify Email or Mobile Number:

In this portal the users can verify their Email or Mobile Number declared  in the Aadhaar system. That means you can get the details about verify your email address and mobile number, which has been declared during Aadhaar enrolment or latest update request, which ever is later.

How to Verify Email/Mobile Number?
  • Go to the UIDAI Portal Here.
  • Enter your Aadhaar number.
  • Enter your registered Email or Mobile Number.
  • Enter security code and click on Get OTP.
  • Then enter the OTP you received and click on Verify OTP.
Lock/Unlock Biometrics:

The aadhaar user can also enable or disable his or her biometrics, to use the biometric lock system the user is required to login using the aadhaar according to the UIDAI website. This facility allows aadhaar card holder to lock his or her biometric and you can also unlock the biometric. Once the biometrics are locked, the aadhaar card holder will not able to use the biometrics i.e. finger prints and iris details, after enable biometric you can use it again.

Aadhaar Authentication History

With this feature the user can check Authentication details by fetching your aadhaar authentication history data. That means you can find the detail information on how many times your Aadhaar UID is used for authentication. The user can match the details available in Aadhaar authentication history and detect any misuse.

How to Check Your Aadhaar Card Used for Authentication?
  • Visit the UIDAI Portal Here for Aadhaar Authentication History.
  • Enter Aadhaar UID
  • Enter Security Code and Click Generate OTP.
  • Select Authentication type ALL.
  • Select the Date Range.
  • Number of Records (Maximum 50 records is allowed) 
  • Then enter the OTP you received and click on Submit.

Check your Aadhaar and Bank Account Linking Status Online:

The UIDAI portal also provides to know the status of link your Aadhaar with the Bank Account. You can easily check the Bank Account and Aadhaar link status by following the below steps and it helps people to know whether the Aadhaar link with the Bank is linked or not.

How to Check Aadhaar Link Status With Bank Account?
  • Visit the UIDAI Portal Link for Aadhaar and Bank Account Link Status.
  • Now Enter your Aadhaar Number.
  • Then Enter Security Code and Click Send OTP.
  • Then Enter the OTP you received on your phone.
